HOW TO PAY
The 10% reservation fee must be paid in advance to confirm your booking.
The remaining 90% balance should be paid directly to the retreat in cash, in person, at the time of your stay.
(plus any special activity costs or donations; see below)
Please do not pay the 90% balance in advance.

SPECIAL ACTIVITY COSTS
While most every day activities and meals are included in the nightly price for the retreat,
the following activities are offered at additional charge.
••TEA CEREMONY, is held once a week on a day best suited to interested guests. (¥3000 minimum donation)
••CALLIGRAPHY CLASS is held every THURSDAY morning.(¥4000 minimum donation)
••KIMONO / TRADITIONAL JAPANESE COSTUME is scheduled based on interest from guests and availability. (¥4000 minimum donation)

IMPORTANT POLICY NOTES
10 % RESERVATION FEES are completely non-refundable under any circumstances.
Changing your dates of stay: In practice, we are as flexible as possible if you wish to change your dates of stay, and typically do not charge additional reservation fees for the majority of date changes made by guests. However, we reserve the right to request additional booking fees if you change your dates of stay on short notice.
If you shorten your stay after you have confirmed your booking:‍ ‍If you shorten your stay on short notice or during your stay, you will lose the 10% reservation fee for the cancelled nights, and your reservation fee for the canceled nights of stay will not credited toward the balance due.

2027 BOOKINGS
Starting Jan 1 2027 we are required to add a 10% government imposed consumption tax to the final amount due.
This 10% additional tax is added only to the final amount due, not to the reservation fee.
To calculate the 10% consumption tax, reference balance due at time of stay in the chart below, and add 10%.
